In this yere kyng Edward made of the counte of Cornwayle a duche, which he yaf to his firste begetyn sone, withe the erledom of Chestre. Also, the kyng granted that the seriaunts bothe of the meire and the schirreves of London schulde beren before the maire and the schirreves of London maces of silver and gilte, with the kynges armes.


In this year King Edward made of the County of Cornwall a Duchy, which he gave to his first begotten son, with the Earldom of Chester. Also the King granted that the Sergeants both of the Mayor and Sheriffs of London should bear before the Mayor and Sheriffs of London maces of silver and gilt, with the King's arms.
