In this yere of oure lord a mccclj the kyng made newe moneye; that is to seye grotes, and half grotes, and penyes; natheless the weyte was lasse be v s. in the pound than the old starlyng. Also in this yere two fysshmongers were beheaded at the standard in Chepe.


In this year of our lord 1351 the king made new money; that is to say groats, and half groats, and pennies; nonetheless the weight was less by 5 shillings in the pound than the old sterling. Also in this year two fishmongers were beheaded at the standard in Cheap.
